The winner will be selected based on scientific excellence, innovation, and clarity of the poster presentation. Eligibility also includes presence during the closing ceremony of the EUROTOX2019 congress, as the winner will be announced at this occasion.
Application process
EUROTOX2019 attendees need to indicate their interest in the ESTIV best poster award by sending the following documents to ESTIV President Mathieu Vinken (mathieu.vinken@vub.be) at latest by 15 August 2019:
Description
Awarded to a young scientist (max. 30 years old) participating in the 2019 EUROTOX Helsinki congress presenting research on the 3Rs, and more specifically towards New Approach Methods (NAMs) without animal testing.
Application process
Abstracts submitted via the congress website that satisfy the age (under 30) and award criteria (3Rs/NAMs) are eligible in the selection process. Applying for the award was possible until 16 July 2019.
The ecopa board or its representative will select the contributions that best represent ecopa’s mission of 3Rs, either in terms of research or communication of the principles. The decision on the winner is taken by the ecopa Board or by its representatives during the Congress on the basis of the quality of the contribution (poster or oral presentation) and compatibility with ecopa’s mission.
The Board of ecopa will assign the Award to one applicant. The amount of the Award is normally 500 Euros per person, but the Board can increase the amount of the Award if warranted.
The name of the winner must be communicated to EUROTOX secretariat by close of business on Tuesday, 10 September 2019. The amount of the Award will be given to the applicant during an official ceremony during the congress. The applicant shall send ecopa’s Treasurer an A4 copy of the poster or, in the case of oral presentations, the title and the pdf file of the presentation.
