The Congress Organizers are delighted to announce four best presentation awards at EUROTOX 2018:
These awards will be presented at the Closing Ceremony on-site (September 5, 2018, 13h00 - 13h30).
In addition, two awards will be donated by AstraZeneca:
The first and presenting author must be under 35 years of age as of 31 December, 2018.
Four criteria will be considered:
1. Originality and potential impact of the research project
2. Adequacy of the methodological approach adopted
3. Scientific value of the results
An initial selection of finalists will be made by the evaluation panel based careful review of the abstracts, with final evaluation taking place at the congress site.
The Early Career Award comprises two categories:
ESTIV will grant a best poster award, including 500 EUR and 1 year (2019) free ESTIV membership, to a PhD student or young scientist (≤ 35 years old) presenting her/his research work in the field of in vitro or in silico toxicology per poster as first author during the EUROTOX 2018 congress. The winner will be selected based on scientific excellence, innovation, and clarity of the poster presentation. Eligibility also includes presence during the closing ceremony of the EUROTOX 2018 congress, as the winner will be announced at this occasion.

Re-Place – a joined project of the Animal Welfare Departments of Flanders and Brussels
Re-Place will grant a 500 EUR best poster award to a PhD student or young scientist (≤ 35 years old) presenting her/his research work per poster as first author at the EUROTOX2018 congress. The winner will be selected based on the results presented in the field of Replacement methodology, scientific excellence and clarity of the poster presentation. Eligibility also includes presence during the closing ceremony of the EUROTOX2018 congress, as the winner will be announced at this occasion.
Attendees need to indicate their interest in the Re-Place Best Poster Award by sending the following documents to Mieke.VanMulders@wiv-isp.be.

AstraZeneca are longtime supporters of EUROTOX and fully endorse its mission to foster toxicology, both scientifically and educationally.
These two awards are given to celebrate all aspects of scientific innovation relevant to drug safety and metabolism. Candidates are shortlisted from submitted poster abstracts and a winner for each category selected by a team of judges after oral presentation of the posters at the AstraZeneca Educational Event (Monday Sept 3rd 7pm). Winners receive a certificate and small prize.
